ABAJO EN ESPAÑOL
Watching that river of Young People in Rio de Janeiro, vibrant, following Faith, one wonders what would happen if they could get together, also, to envision their future. Youth are always ready, eager to encounter life, dynamic and smart. It has always been that when action is required Youth is at the front line.
What if Youth from all around the world - without any differences at all - got together their way - their simple clothing and cel phones, their freshness and irreverence, their laughters and desires - together around places they love - parks, sea shores, mountains, green space or their beloved web - to state their issues, exchange information and technology, set their curiosities, give born ideas and listen... to one another and to those who can provide good, practical information on the way ahead. A Global Team passing by old conflicts or differences that have not yet invaded their lives, using their energy to understand and design the World they share. If there is an organism on Earth to be thought about to accomplish that task, I guess, it would be the United Nations. After all, they were created to Unite the Nations and there is no better place to start than in the volcano of youth. Utopia? Ok, let them all spread around the planet, isolated from each other feeding on the past./August 7/2013 - SDMM

EQUIPO GLOBAL
Mirando el río de Juventud que se reunió en Rio de Janeiro, vibrante, siguiendo la Fé, se pregunta uno qué sucedería si se reunieran, también, para visualizar su futuro. Los jóvenes siempre están listos, ansiosos de encontrarse con la vida, dinámicos y brillantes. Siempre que se requiere acción los jóvenes están en primera línea.
Qué sucedería si jóvenes de todas partes del mundo - sin diferencia alguna - se reunieran a su modo - con sus jeans y celulares, su frescura e irreverencias, su risa y deseos - en lugares que adoran - parques, playas, montañas, espacios verdes o su idolatrada Red - a poner sobre la mesa sus temas, intercambiar información, tecnología, inquietudes, ideas y a oir... oirse entre ellos mismos y oir a quienes puedan darles información práctica sobre el camino que tienen adelante. Un Equipo Global que pase de largo viejos conflictos y diferencias que aun no han invadido sus vidas, usando la energía para entender y diseñar el mundo que comparten. Si existe un organismo en la Tierra que puede cumplir con esa tarea es, supongo, las Naciones Unidas. Después de todo fueron creadas para Unir a las Naciones y no hay mejor lugar para empezar a hacerlo que en el volcán de la juventud. Utópico? Ok, déjenlos entonces repartidos por todo el planeta, aislados los unos de los otros, alimentándose del pasado./ August 7/2013 - SDMM
